1、 EBS introduction
1.1 what is EBS
EBS is the abbreviation of electronically controlled brake system. It is based on ABS, using electronic control to replace the traditional mechanical transmission to control the brake system, so as to achieve good braking effect and increase the safety of automobile braking. Compared with ABS system, EBS system adds various sensors, including three-dimensional force sensor, brake friction plate wear sensor, etc. When braking, the brake pedal position signal is transmitted to the electronic control unit, and the load, ground adhesion and brake air pressure signals are transmitted to the electronic control unit by each force sensor. The electronic control unit automatically adjusts the brake pressure to form a closed-loop control. The system uses electronic control instead of mechanical transmission to reduce the lag of mechanical transmission of the braking system, shorten the braking distance, make the friction plate wear minimum at low strength, use ABS to achieve the best utilization ratio of road adhesion coefficient at medium strength, apply the maximum braking pressure at high strength, so as to obtain the best control braking force. The friction and wear sensor can monitor the friction of each brake pad and control the pressure distribution of each brake to extend the service life.
EBS system can be controlled by an electronic control unit together with other electronic control systems. Realize the control functions with different requirements.
EBS system mainly consists of ECU, ABS solenoid valve, bridge control module, electric control Trailer control valve, brake signal transmitter, proportional relay valve, rear axle backup valve and other components wheel speed sensor and harness.
1.2 what are the advantages of vehicle EBS installation
The short brake response time greatly improves the response speed of vehicle braking and reduces the braking distance;
Changed braking stability and comfort;
The whole process of brake system monitoring;
The system parts are standardized and highly integrated, which reduces the production and installation costs and improves the vehicle economy.
2、 EBS proportional relay valve
2.1 function of EBS proportional relay valve
In EBS system, the proportional relay valve is composed of pressure sensor and relay valve. When it is transmitted from the middle to the proportional relay valve, it will change into the output pressure and control pressure of the phase proportional relay valve. The solenoid valve of the proportional relay valve is not equipped with pressure signal to control.
